Here's today's summary of Tongariro conditions from a prominent NZ website:
"Tongariro River: Patchy chances for rainbows may be best in the middle and upper water; lower water still holds too many nuisance browns."
Brownies are certainly not held in general esteem in the Taupo region!

Quick question here:
I see 3 okes voted for "I don’t catch sissy fish like trout", BUT it's posted under Fly Talk Forum > FRESHWATER TOPICS > Hunting Trout > Trout species (rainbow and brown) .
Are these okes serious or just wanting to prove that people who don't fish for trout should just follow Jeff Foxworthy's advice, and "WEAR THE SIGN"!
