I haven't fished there in about 5 months, but it should be the same. No contact details, but just rock up if you want to day fish.
Pro's: Cheaper than Arendsnes next door.
Better for early- and late-season fishing when the fish drop back from the shallow rapids at Arendsnes. The channel as the water exits the rapids has delivered good fish around September time. Fish into chest-deep water from knee-deep water.
No gravel road unlike many other Vaal venues.
Cons: Not great for warm water temps as water is deeper/ has fewer rapids.

Must say, I've not heard of it, but judging from the website, the accommodation looks good, and the river looks very fishable.
All the contact numbers are there, so have a go, and feed back.

Only problem is, that pic on their home page is actually the water to the LEFT of them, which is Arendsnes!

    On the other side yes.
That pic on the Woelwaters site is definitely not the water right in front of them.

I've seen the website but did not get joy from 2 mails an various attempts to call them, therefore my requests.

I would appreciate contact info for "Van bo"and Arends if available.

Looking for a place for September end.

Juano, are you looking at sleeping over with the family ? If so, there are much better venues than Woelwaters, Arends Nes or Bo-Vlakte.
End of Sept, should be nice and warm, which means Arend's will look more like "New Delhi " and the overflow tends to spil over.

I sent you a PM iro the next 2 weeks.

Reply on that and will refer you to some great family spots.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.

Try Vaal Hackle, Eastco or some of the venues down near ptoch fi you're looking for a decent sport for the family.

I see Woelwaters' website has been hacked by an Indian (ironically), so I just wanted to check if anyone has experience on their accommodation? Arendsnes is full and I need a place to sleep for 2 people and a 1 yr old. It's for the coming weekends Pascal workshop, so it's basically only for the accommodation and I don't care about the fishing potential.
