Default Difference between Magnum & Magnum +

    Hi Guys,

Might be a daft Q but what is the difference between a stealth magnum & a magnum +?

    Thanks,

I dug this thread (that nobody replied to) out of the archives, because after reading everything about the two rods on the forum, I'm still not sure what the differences are.
I can't seem to find much on the Magnum+.
Will someone please supply some info on the +.

I can't help you on what the difference between the two is, but I can tell you the Magnum+ range has been discontinued. I lost the tip from my boets 9 weight, ended up having to replace the rod.

There is a "+" next to the one but not the other what's the fuss about?

I wanted to know the difference because I bought a Magnum+ from Gani's in Witbank and they "forgot" to inform me that it's discontinued.
What I'd like to know is if the two rods are so alike, is it possible to interchange sections if I break something on the +?

Hi Goose stand to be corrected but a Magnum + is a Salt water rod and the other a fresh water rod. Your best bet is to contact Stealth directly and enquire from them, the contact number is on their website.

Both models come in various weights from low to high so nothing to do with fresh or salt.

Also, I highly doubt that the rod sections are interchangeable as the rods are built on two different blanks and even if they were you are likely to significantly alter the rod action by using sections from other rods with each other.
