    No, much better than the first one. But try and get the tapers right.

    As in this: (See how it tapers. You also need to tie on a shorter shank hook. That one looks more suited to wooly buggers, etc. The hook gape is very small in relation to the hook shank length)

    Also, you can put a bead on, like the pic below.
    Just remember the tapering body, and thicker thorax. That's traditional GRHE.

    Hi

    Was wondering if any of you could inform me on how to tie a Viva tadpole. I am new to fly fishing and I am not sure if the viva tadpole is the same as the normal viva fly. I am leaving for Calitzdorp dam to do some fishing there and the viva tadpole seems to be doing the job there.

    just checked the hooks you guys are right... its size 10 4x stremr long shank galnakatsu... should i just get shorter shank.. hooks? im gonna try a random fly now.... just to see what i can do...
