Phew, maybe it's because we lost the rugger, or maybe it's something I'm missing?....Your link to your website is all about fishing the Western Cape,...It seems strange you ask these questions. I'm damn sure you would have known or found out what was required before asking how CPS works etc etc??
Behold the fisherman. he riseth early in the morning and disturbeth the whole household. mighty are his preperations. he goes forth full of hope and when the day is ended, he returneth smelling of strong drink and the truth is not with him. originator unknown.

@rols - I've been fishing all the wine estates and such, only once I arrived at Eikendal, did someone at the FlyTalk store finally give me some more information about CPS, hence me asking the question. I have, since, contacted CPS, paid the subscription fees and am waiting for my card, etc.

I now need to find out about this forestry permit or whatever, there's a lack of clear information available about all of this.

Ok, so I've paid for the CPS license and I'm waiting delivery.

The fishing permit from CTT and a wild card, where do I get those?

You can apply for the wild card online - Cant remember the site, but I think you can get one from Kalahari.com.

The Cape Tourism office is in town near green market square - You can find the details online. Its all a bit if a luss, but its well worth the running around!

I see that you can get the Wildcard here: https://www.wildcard.co.za/

Then the freshwater permit from your local post office.

Mmmm I'm not 100% sure about the post office, I know you can buy salt license's there, but not sure about the freshwater ones, maybe someone on the forum can confirm.

Ye I bought mine at the Post Office in Jan this year for R70 I think. Still not sure about next year pricing but I think it's gonna be something rediculous. Let's hope not..
