    Default balsa in cape town???

    hi chaps.seasons greetings to all.
    who ties balsa poppers in cape town?does anyone have a specific shop they get it from?i saw some the other day but the price was ridiculous.dont know if thats the normal price and i just didnt know better?

    you want ready made popper heads? I get balsa from the deckle edge... Shape the head like a cone and make the half sphere popping side using a dremel bit.

    Price not bad at all... about R25 for a piece 25cm x 10cm x 5cm.

    They also have some interesting things to use for tube flies and I get all my color permanent markers there

    There os also a shop at Tygervalley if I recall upstairs opp Game.

    I saw balsa at the craft shop in tableview next to the fruit and veg a while back - not sure of prices now however.

    P.S black flippers worked like magic at bettys on the weekend!!!

    surfboard foam also works a treat (avalible for free in parden island )
    easy to shape
    you just need to coat it in epoxy

    Thanks kiefer. But that stuffg is k*k. Think its cut the wrong way and isnt easy to cut and shape. Hope that makes sense.
