My first guess would have been Bartail Flathead, but that's a saltwater fish (lagoon type), and this one was caught in freshwater.
    Freshwater Goby, perhaps?

Thanks Chris. I caught this one 2 years ago and was wondering. The fly was stuck in the throat and caused some bleeding when taken out. Sorry about that. The fish was released.

Next time just cut the tippet as close to the hook as possible. Clean release.

Just wondered if these little critters have teeth, that is all.

Very similar to flathead, sort of little sandpapery serrations rather than teeth
