    Hi all,

    Some black mays I tied up...

    They look great Shammers. When are you planning on fishing them?
    I like the white beads. One thing you could try for a bit of variation is using different colour threads , orange, blue etc. so that those thick thread collars act as hot spots.

    That is a good idea Andrew. I am tired of the usual, orange as a hot spot. I used white and my last grey tungsten colour.

    I fished similar May's as a dropper in a small stream...klapped the yellows..hooked one fish that bent the blinking hook open....

    Awesome stuff! Those would work a serious treat on trout! Must get some white beads.

    What hooks are you using? I have found that at least one hook in every grip pack will bend. Like it missed the tempering process or something

    Eish, that is another can of worms on flytalk, the issue of using Grip hooks...my experience has not been good, I will leave it at that.

    i also tied a few black mayfly nymphs last night but it doesnt look nearly as good as these..... did some without a bead and maby tonight i will tie some with beads. have some orange and pink beads i want to try. those white ones look awesome
