    Arrow Today is Trico day!

I've changed my Trico Mayfly pattern slightly and hence here is the improved version. By far my favorite Mayfly pattern.

    Hook: Daiichi 1120 #18.
    Bead: 1.5mm Mercury.
    Thread: 14/0 White.
    Tail: Squirrel fibres.
Body: Yellow body quill / Marker brown for back, belly remains yellow. There is a trick in achieving this.
Wingcase: 3 x Turkey. (Another tip coming in achieving this look by not only hiding the thread but also to have a more durable fly)
Thorax: Yellow Awesome Possum dubbing. (Jiri Klima)
Legs: Partridge (left slightly long, a nice trigger.)

Some prominent features are the yellow belly, half body, half wingcase. Mr Olympia of nymphs. I tie them in 6 versions; Gold Tungsten, Mercury and unweighted in natural and in flashback.

Below is the natural to compare. He is half dead and appear much darker than the natural, keep that in mind when doing sampling.
