Default 1st outing for the official season

Leave has been approved by the local governing body, and I'll be trying to fool a few hungry rainbows on the Karnemelkspruit this coming Saturday. This is similar to what I'll be fishing ....

For those that have fished the KMS, you'll find the relevance to the pic ito cutthroats very much applicable ...

Hope to share some nice images after the weekend ...

There are a lot of sections with big pools all over the KMS. I prefer to fish the shallower runs, glides and pockets which most people overlook. Then, in the late afternoon I'll prospect the larger pools with dry flies to rising or spotted fish. I will fish the farm below Lupela. There are lots of water like in the pics there.

Is the farm below Lupela the one with the small campsite?

Yes. I usually start fishing at the bridge (main one over the river) and fish upstream till I hit the campsite. There is amazing water there. Then there is 1 deep run that I always fish above that as well. Depending on time I might fish other sections as well, but this is generally what I'd do in a 4-5 hour outing.
