    Default Hello All

As a new member I thought I'd say a quick hello. I currently live in the UK although I do like to keep an eye on fly fishing developments "back home" for my eventual return one day. I do most of my fishing on the rivers and streams of Mid Wales, a stunning part of the British Isles. My preference is for running water (the smaller the better) but once or twice a year I'll shake the dust off my 5wt and spend the day at a stillwater.

I was pretty chuffed to find this forum, and look forward to contributing. When I return to/next visit SA I want to spend some time on the rivers of the KZN Berg and the Western and Eastern Cape - I'll be looking out for info and tactics on here. Similarly, if anyone is planning a trip to the UK and wants any info (particularly Wales) feel free to get in touch.

    Regards
    Justin

Welcome Justin, thoroughly enjoy the UK fishing while you are there. It is absolutely excellent. For the same quality trout streams here you have to go to the Western Cape which sucks if you live in the North West. There are however, a few tiny opportunities on private venues where one can cast a 0wt for yellows but those are bestowed to a select few.

Don't know if you know about this one but in your valley www.flyforums.co.uk is an excellent forum as well. I frequent them for all sorts of things.

Enjoy this forum however. You will find most to be very helpful and the odd pissing contest will keep you amused for hours.
Fishing is just my thing. I don't know what it is but it seems that i just can't get enough of it.
