    Default HANAK SUPERLIGHT #2 rod

I have one of the Czech Fly fishers Jiri Pejchar, staying with me for a month or 3.
He brought with him the Hanak SUPERLIGHT #2 rod.

(#2 not on the catalogue at the moment, fresh out of the oven)
We played a bit in the garden with it last night.
    WOW, what a lovely stick.
Tomorrow going to do a bit of river fishing with it.
    Will report back on Monday.

    The workmanship is superb.
The length is 9" for dry fly fishihg, with an extension piece of about 6 inches to extend for nymphing.
The extension section fits above the grip between the butt section and the next rod section.

He has to take the rod back to the CZ Rep, and give a "field test" evaluation, but I allready told him we will have a burglary about a week before he goes back, and some goods will be missing. It is easy, blame it on Africa and the crime in South Africa.

i can help, ship it to my address before he finds hiden in your safe place.
first impression was a gloomis look alike, nice looking, light weight (guessing about 68 grams) and having an extention is also handy. looking forward to a report and shipping track details.

    we will weigh this afternoon.
Jiri reckons probably closer to 60 grams.

We fished with the rod on Sunday.
    A lovely rod.
    a crisp to firm action.
With the steady down stream wind, it was a very good action to have.
I must say, I am suitably impressed.
Lovely control when fishing 2 nymphs on a mono rig and when we changed to a dry fly setup, it easily punched out long casts into the wind
