Regarding fishing on the honeymoon, give your buddy the following advise:

LEAVE YOUR FISHING GEAR AT HOME!!

This was the best advise the guys on the forum gave me, I got married 3 weeks ago, went on honeymoon and no fishing, even though there was plenty of locations around. Spend every single moment with her and focus only on her, you can fish for the rest of your life, you will NEVER have another honeymoon!

From the word go I was upfront with my mrs that fishng is an interal part of my life. In point of fact she actually said if I tried to inhibit that I would not be true to myself.

Now the kicker is that Ive got her mad about fishing too, and she actually said to me the other day that for our upcomming honeymoon *WE MUST* be able to fish. The only negative is that on occasion she outfishes me

Now that's the way it should be. Mine actually took me to Kenton for a week
over my birthday to fish. Now she had never fished before and she didn't catch anything, but let me tell you, she didn't put that rod down till it basically fell out of her hands because her forearms were so tired she couldn't hold on to it anymore. I foresee great things
