    Default C.D.C. Buoyant Suspender Buzzer

    Hook: 16 scud
    Thread: Black.
    Tail: White C.D.C. puff.
    Body: Black silk floss.
    Rib: Fine silver ribbing.
    Thorax: Peacock herl.
Head: Polystyrene ball wrapped tight in stocking mesh with C.D.C. wound around the ball halo style.

Just prior to hatching, the pupa hangs motionless in the surface film, before adopting a horizontal position for the hatching.

    Nice Dave.
Is that a standard polystyrene ball? Looks quite bigger on the pic than the ones I've normally seen, and where do you get them. I've got a piece of poly, but the balls don't come off nice and round, theyre jagged and more often broken.
    Cheers

Standard ones, just search until you get the right sizes. Bigger ones also in the stocking make great boobies.
