Now that we have all flapped and floffed around, WHAT IS THE THEME?????

I need to start practising dries

Dizzy, ta muchly for the instructions sent via e-mail.
I just need to get some decent hackle, my Black Wooly Bugger/ aka Speedkop hackle does not seem very appropriate.

OMR, I have "reserved" 2 off Indian Cock Capes at OUR local shop. (One local supplier has the b*lls to buck the cartel ). I will pick them up next wk ( I raided the unpacked/unpriced box) and show you next Sun if you are fishing?

Next Sun sounds good, lemme know if you need a couple of other hackles/feather in the interim?

No doubt you'd get any fur you require from your loin cloth or from the back of your simian lady friend?

My animal fur is from the Cheetah which we catch, pluck and release within 40 medium paces. As far as my senior lady is concerned I pluck nothing. Too grey.
For the pheromone material I use the 3 youngest of my 15 wives.

No wonder they named Jacob after me

How about a "Proudly South African" fly swap?

Flies must be south african patterns (they must also be tied in the dark ).

Or how about something I got our youngsters to do, a fly incorporating all the colours of the SA flag - it's good fun, especially after a couple of strafdops!

    Default Terror-estrials!

I would have to second the suggestion for terrestrials. Heaps of variety to play around so no worries about everyone tying the same pattern, fun to tie and equally effective to fish (or frame if that tickles your fancy...). Simple rule: "if it doesn't have a part of it's life history in water (bar of course arriving there against its will!) it's fair game" My 2 rand (inflation unfortunately rampant).
