The R70,000 camera can be purchase HERE.

    Edit:
I think we are talking about 2 different cameras.
I'm talking about the Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III and you are talking Canon EOS 1D Mark III.
The cost at BHPhoto for the Canon EOS 1Ds Mark III is US$7,999.95
The cost at BHPhoto for the Canon EOS 1D Mark III is US$4,499-95
Here is the BHPhoto link for both cameras.

Digital cameras pays only 14% VAT + 7% shedule 1 part 2B advalorum duties.
Thats it! Transport costs is a different thing.

Wiets, you are right, I was looking at the cheaper model. This reinforces my point that we should be willing to import ourselves if the mark up is extortionate. I suggested that I am willing to pay a 15% premium to a local supplier, to support the SA industry, benefit from local guarantees, etc. The same applies to the fishing goods.

Are you the guy that was in Mauritius with one of my work colleagues? If so Vinesh said I must say hi when I see you on here.

There again knowing her, she will just tell you that you are cucking frazy.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.
