Default has anyone tried to fish for these

    Hottentot

I have fished for them on light spinning rods and a smal piece of crayfish but would like to know if anyone has tried on fly gear with a smallish white clouser or salty bugger.

I am going up to the west coast on easter weekend and have a few spots maybe to try.

Maybe if some one has some info on them i would apreciate it.

here is a nice spot to target them.

We used to mess around after crayfish diving. Never had much success and ended up chasing mullet with dryflies instead. Tried sinking and floating lines with a variety of shrimps, charlies, clousers and salty buggers.

    Maybe a mini crayfish imitation

Let us know if you have any success.

Ok cool ill tie some flys and see what worked maybe a ball of crafts fur with a lttle flash would look like a piece of crayfish maybe cheet a bit at first with putting the fly in some mashed craytail to get the smell .

but ill try and give a report.
