it actually isnt a new world record. It ties the existing world record. IGFA took 8 months to certify it. They even put the guy through a polygraph test!

Those yanks take their bassin seriously.

I think a lot of rednecks can't stand the fact that a wierd looking Jap caught the world record of their national sportfish

You're right on that one! Interestingly when asked if he would be upset if the record was denied he answer that no he wouldnt be... because he's seen much bigger fish in that dam
