Hey, Lucky dip is a great spot, also one of my favourites, in fact all of those in a line, Lucky dip, splash, and black rock you can start at one end and fish to the other.
These are my favourite spots. The only hassle is they are popular with bait fishermen in season so space can be an issue.
    Munster:
If you park at the tennis club and walk down the road you end up on the rocks close to the remains of the wreck. Just to the north of that is a nice deep gully which can be fished from either side, which is nice to negotiate the wind. The water can be very cheeky in this gully though which can make for VERY difficult line control. Good shad spot for flyfishing with clousers, salty buggers, and mylar sprats. I've caught kob, mullet, and the usual panfish on conventional tackle there.

If the gully can't be fished take the road past the tennis club which follows the beach up to Aunties Bay. I think the correct name is Portobello, but we've always called the place aunties. There is a parking area here but its isolated, don't leave valubles in the car. On the south side of the bay the rocks are a super shad spot where you can cast into great water, but with a North easter, casting is hard. This is usually the first spot I try on holiday. Again the trusty clouser and mylar sprats rule here.

    Port Edward:
These are isolated spots don't go alone and be very aware! At the southern most part of the residential area is a parking area and a long dirt road going further south which will lead you to Rennies beach. The parking here is very isolated and out of season you have to be careful(in fact, just be careful). Just south of the parking is a tiny lagoon which is usually closed or very shallow. Rennies beach is very long with lots of space for casting. Personally I've caught zilch here but the spot seems popular with flyrodders and you garuanteed your own space. Theres usually guys flyfishing here so maybe someone else has had better luck than me. (If part of the beach at the mouth is closed off with danger tape don't cross over, its placed there by the parks board. There is a rare sand plover which breeds there, so don't disturb!)

    More to follow

I knew we would get great info on this tread.

I might be off to mosselbay next weekend, maybe I can get some nice fish and get a good report to you guys bout the area.

Tied up a wicked looking mud prawn las night, its quite big so it must be a big grunter that takes it,or what i am hoping for is a nice cob,now that would be great fun!!!

C'mon Deewy post us a pic of that Prawn

    Heres the rest
Apologies as I haven't fly fished most of them, but maybe someone else has and could add to what I've experienced.

    Port Edward:
Southern End of Rennies is the Mtamvuna river mouth. I blanked on the sea side but its a great spot. If they've had rain the water can be seriously dirty as the catchment area is huge. If the water is clear there will hopefully be some nice holes to cast into. I've seen the mouth look extremely fishy and within a couple of days its coffee! As with any river mouth it can also be shallow enough to walk through.

Past the river mouth and right at the end of the casino beach is another lagoon which is normally sanded up. I think its called Thompsons. Now I've never fished this lagoon (not sure if the casino security will let you) but it stretches right up to the first green on the golf course (and is fed from the dam at the 18th) and often when I've played there Ive seen plenty monster mullet jumping around. Big enough to make you three putt Also at the end of the beach in front of the casino the rocks form a nice bay. I've only fished conventional tackle there but I reckon it should be a breeze to flyfish. Now I believe from there further south the muggings can be bad as its pretty isolated and very rural - so again just be careful

    Hope this can help guys
    cheers
    Rory

I will see if i can get a nice pic off the bugger but you can ask Rols,it looks awsome,I have two hooks a 1/o on the front weighted with lead wire and dumbells and a second hood secured to the bend off the big hook with a piece of backing line and supperglue and then I used pink sinthetic fibre and wrapped it around and put in brown bucktail to make a back for the head.
The tail being unweighted rides up a bit.

I will organize a pic 2 morow with a pic off a mud prawn so you can see the resemblence.

I would maybe want to tie a smaller one this one is quite big i would say about 50mm from tip to tail.
