I bought some Eyelash Yarn from Fiona's Fashions, Johannesburg as per Eyelash Yarn (http://www.flytalk.co.za/forum/showthread.php?t=1403&page=2) discussion. The yarn I'm giving away here is
not exactly the same as per yarn discussed in that discussion.

The first 3 members who post their names here will receive 5 colours x 1 meter of Eylash Yarn as per picture below for free and mailed to you. Once you have listed your name here, PM me your full name and postal address - regret, South African addresses only.

Hi Roland

You now have the Eyelash yarn, do you think anything can be done with this material? If so, why not tie a fly and post it here?

Hey Wiets,

Instead of just giving the stuff away why don't you make the buggers
work for it, something like first 5 to spot the fish gets it.

Ja, I don't actually think the Eyelash Yarn is such good stuff, but the concept is. Bending back hackles to create a similar form is magic especially when you're looking at doing bushy Irish style dapping-type mayflies. With a bit of ffishing input to the manufacturers I'm sure we could get Eyelash Yarn not to perhaps be as elegant and refined as a 'bent' fowl hackle, but to be a quick and effective way of tying in bushy stuff for bass and saltwater. What'd you guys reckon?

Hi Chris

The stuff from Fiona's Fashion is somewhat limp and crinkly when compared to the Eyelash Yarn (http://www.flytalk.co.za/forum/showthread.php?t=1403) posted here - see photo's below. I have in the interim ordered some of this stuff. The question is who does one talk to about producing eyelash yarn aimed at fly fishing?
