Hi All

Just details on the Transvaal Fly Tyers Guild meeting on Monday 19th May 2008.
Visitors are welcome.

Dean Riphagen will be tying his favourite Dragon Fly Nymph pattern, the Kaufman Lake Dragon, which should be very interesting. Those of you who know, Dean ties some fantastic patterns and his knowledge and passion for fly fishing is phenomenal. He will surely be giving out lots of tips for winter trouting as well. Dean is part owner of Frontier Flyfishing.
See you guys there.

Don't forget guys, we also have a "Beginners Corner" every meeting, where beginners can receive instructions first hand from an experienced fly tyer.

In addition to the fly being tied for the evening, a full PDF instruction sheet with step-by-step photos and tying instructions for the fly gets e-mailed to our members after the evening, ensuring that members who could not attend still receive the fly and instructions.

The Transvaal Fly Tyers Guild also holds regular outings to trout and yellowfish destinations, and all members are welcome to join the guys fishing for the trips. We head up the Northern Gauteng Fly Fishing Club, and encourage all fly fishers to take part in all the regional fish-offs and competitions. (Non-competitors are also welcome to join the competitors for the day, fishing for fun).

Regards

Mike Newby
