Orighstad Dam

Hello,

Has anybode ever fished the Orighstad dam near Lydenburg. I am going there the weekend and would like to try the streams and the dam in the Orighstad Nature Reserve. Has anybody explored this area before?

I fished there a few years back and managed to get a lot of Small Mouth Bass on Black surface poppers. My buddy got a nice bream on a black wolly bugger.

Tough venue, dam was low. When the wind picks up and blows through the valley...eish ;)

Thanks for the feedback. Will be there on Saterday and Sunday. Lets hope for the best. There is also quite a few small streams running through the mountains. Do you guys think it might be worth it to explore these a little?

I have not fished the streams in the area, but maybe in Lydenburg go and chat to one of the local tackle shops...I reckon they can give you some good advice.
