Thank you all for your support, the great flies received and the many
opportunities to study your methods and techniques. From my side it was a
great experience and in addition, I now have a well stocked fly box. :D

I think the flyswaps needs new fly swap masters (new blood) and since I will
be very busy for the next couple of months, the July 2008 flyswaps will be
my last flyswaps for awhile.

I sincerely hope you will remain an active member of this great community.

I must agree with Herman in thanks to you, Wiets. I too appreciate all you've done for the forum and fly fishing as a whole. It displays the kind of character we youngsters should look up to and say, "When I grow up one day, I want to be a brother like that - a brother in fly fishing!":) :) Your generosity and kindness will be missed these next few months, even when someone steps in. All the best with your ventures.

Kind regards,
PTN

HI Wiets,

Will truly be a sad days after July. Looks like fly swap will come to an end if someone does not try and fill your shoes. Gonna miss it as I have only started.

HI Wiets,

Do you have any people that you think could and would take over when you stop. Surely you could request some from the long time forumers.

Hi Dave

When I joined this forum, members already arranged multiple flyswaps. I joined one or two of them and soon realised
that, due to circumstances, it was a bit of hassle getting things done. Participants had to include self addressed
envelopes with postage or meet up with each other, it took a bit of time to get things sorted, etc. I kind of muscled in
and started arranging flyswaps on my own with the view of getting it to run a bit smoother and quicker.

Of late, my flyswaps have become somewhat stale and lacked energy. I also think that my ongoing flyswaps stifled others
from holding their own and this contributed to the staleness of the current swaps. In my opinion, new flymasters are
required with fresh energy and innovative ideas.

There are lots of people who can arrange these flyswaps and it is simply a question of somebody stepping to the plate.
I'm stepping aside from the flyswaps for awhile and allowing others the opportunity to also hold their own fly swaps.
