Armed with all the advice posted on this thread i decided to go the ultra light way with a bit of drop shot on the side (this necessitated by my better half refusing me space for bait in the freezer).:D
Eish! For the first three days i could not get a line in the water anywhere the wind direct off the sea.:mad:
Day 4 a bright windless day. First cast with my ultra light outfit and with some beached redbait on i landed a pompano (wave garrick) of about 15 cm. Smallish fish so no photo.Second cast delivered another pompano of about 20 cm. This is easy . small fish so again no photo. :)
Well i should have at least taken one photo because not another bite let alone another fish for the rest of that day and the next 10 days.:o
On the last morning one last quick cast delivered a streepie of about 10 cm.By this time i had given up taking the camera along so again no photo.
Cray fish were plentyfull and as usual delicious . Breakfast,brunch,dinner and supper.:D

Ag no man. In hindsight I have, stupidly, on my wall, in the office, a pic of the smallest Garrick I have caught, and all the customers come in and say "En wat se klein vissie is die?" I want to stick that "klein vissie" sometimes where the sun goes down;) Enjoy the memories....sometimes the small pics hurt a bit:D
