Hehehe- just like the "Latest flies from the vice", I thought us papgooiers could show the work we put into our baits.

Here's one I used on friday night. Had to take a pic of it as I was certain it would get a knock, but all it got was a damn bird stuck in my line - AGAIN!

That bait brings back great memories from years gone by fishing for dusky grey sharks off the bricks.

If fishing for birds was a national pasttime then Grant would be the Proteas captain...

grant didnt these guyts tell you you need to cast with a sinker on...otherwise your bait will sit on the surface for a while...thus leading to hooked birds... :D:D:D:D

doesnt suprise me with mr cox as your teacher

Stephen, these guys are sliding out their baits for the big boys. Seems they want to fly before they can crawl!:D

That blood on the cutting board worries me Grant. Was that from one of the strandlopers you knobkerried with your fishing priest?

strandloopers finger is the bloody bit. i used a chokka mallet to mash it up nicely.

That would have gone down well as an appetizer snack on a Ryvita before your beach braai. It looks far too good to waste on a fish.:D
