The jm platana is a double zonker tail minkie fly with egg yarn as underbody to absorb water and give it weight.
We are based in Bloem and do shirts and pants,dvds,and are currently working on doing a drift down the Modder.There are so may animals to see from the boat and sometimes you find yourself fishing amongst eland,zebra,watrebok etc.Its quite an experience.We are busy with a website

Sounds very similar to a frog pattern that Rob Van Rensburg showed us, that they tie for trout.
I sorta assumed it was a "frog" imitation yes... :)
But was wondering what the "JM" stood for?
