I got stuck into some nice bass. Would have liked to try the frog, the bass didn't want anything to do with popper though.

Hi Gary,
Rob mentioned in a post that you went up to Katse with him not to long ago. I would like to do a trip up there soon, and would like to get some information to help prepare for the trip.
Here goes:
Which parts of the dam did you fish?
At what depth did the trout take?
Is a kickboat an option on such a big piece of water?
What boats are allowed/not allowed on the water?
How much is accommodation in the Katse Village?
Are there any permits or fees payable for boats or fishing?

Please take your time - I don't mind if you answer them one at a time. I cannot find this info anywhere else on the net. Any other relevant info would be much appreciated.

Gary, great pattern that mutant zak/baby bugger! Thanks for the comments. I'm struggling to source good quality soft hackle at present locally. Marabou or CDC is still a great substitute...
