haven't caught them in the smalblaar before and i have to say i was pleasantly surprised to catch 'him' there. caught in the tail of alittle eddy pool right in front of a rock and next toabeaut of apool full of bubbling water.
haven't a clue how they got there but glad they're there. interested to see who the first will be to post a Smalblaar Slam with a bow, abrownie and abass on dry

hey gary, for the moment im keeping it to myself... it is the only section of the river that has been undisturbed by agriculture. We are protecting it and luckily it is surrounded by a good few hundred kilometers of unpassable land that belongs to my family. I just want to keep this location x as special as possible. We continue to remove alien vegitation and bass from the system and we have noted a marked increase in fish numbers and size. Maybe one of these days then. Regards, Peter
