Oddly enough, I emailed SA a week or two ago about the trout stalker taper.

They said it is not half weight heavy like the GPX? On my current 5wt which is a medium action, the halfweight heavy makes things a little more sensitive to being overloaded, and I am sure the trout stalker will enjoy throwing dries to yellows

The magnum taper is perfect for bass. I am currently fishing a 7w magnum taper on a Sage ONE, carries bass bugs and poppers perfectly, at distance.
