    Default Favourite Yellowfish dry

So you have reached the end of your numphing sesssion and the yellows start to rise. Now it is time for some dry fly or dry and dropper action.

What is your favourite dry fly for yellowfish. I know it differs on what are hatching and whether you are fishing Sterkies or the Vaal etc. but this question is really simple.

What are your go to or favourite dry fly when targetiing SM?
Hoppers, Klinkies, Stimulator, Beetles, Flying Ants (for just in case)?

There is also a difference in using a dry as a "just-in-case strike indicator" nê!

What are my go to or favourite dry fly when targeting SM?

    - Hoppers, Klinkies, Stimulator, Beetles, Flying Ants, DDD's, Parachute Adams, Adams, Elk Hair Caddis, CDC Caddis, Spiders...or simply put: Mayfly imitations, Caddis Imitations, Terrestrial Imitations, Attractor-type dry flies...

But if I have to choose one fly to fish all over with for yellows (Vaal, Sterkies, Largescales, etc...) it would be the DDD though, in various sizes and colours, and materials.

F&K Caddis and Klinkhamer have been very good.
Of late, if I do put on a dry fly, I like a fly that penetrates the surface film and reflects against the surface.

I am a huge stimulator fan,but the ***dard caddis is a bit more fishable,so i would have to choose it if i was allowed 1 dry fly.I found it extremely deadly at sterkies even until early may.

Elk Hair caddis and klinkie on one rig. Klinkie about 3 ft behind the EHC.

In various colours and sizes of course.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.
