Just interested here. Is that from the dead bass they are collecting floating in the river and on the banks?

    Did they kill everything?

I have also started a Facebook Page to track progress on the 41 rivers once the names have been released. If any of you are interested in tracking and discussing this project further then please visit the page: https://www.facebook.com/41Rivers and Like it.

I actually feel quite happy reading that. It's kind of nice to see some good come out of this whole rotenone thing. Imagine that.

My sentiments also.....hopefully they can do the same for the Witvis that has almost no more riverine habitat left, just a few streams and mostly dams.

"The successful removal of alien fish and almost instantaneous increase in biodiversity was a significant triumph for native fish conservation in the region and should encourage further endemic fish restoration efforts within South Africa."

    - Licence to Rotenone?? These guys have to be watched very carefully IMHO.
