Ok, still issues with the login.
There doesn't seem to be an error message if you get something wrong.
The winking smily doesn't look right - I've never been able to wink with such a huge grin on my face

Meaning if you enter your log in details wrong, there is no error message? I am aware of some members not being able to log in since the upgrade, I will get back to you all and have forwarded the issue to VBulletin.

Is there an issue with the search functionality i.e. some sort of indexing problem?
If I put in certain key words, unique venue names for example which are 6 letters or more in length, I only get a single thread returned in the serach results. Manually browsing through threads, I can find 5 or 6 that contain the same venue keyword.

There was some server maintenance on the hosting company side this morning, this the reason for the site being down, apologies. Between them and Telkom I have spent this lovely Tuesday Cape morning on the phone
The forum is still work in progress and new features will be added continuesly, including album pictures and classifieds. Please start using the Blog feature and the home page for posting articles. We will compile a help guide which will make the use of the website much easier.

When I post a reply or a new topic , I would click on the smiley, and it was there.Now I put the curser over the smiley and click and nothing happens.
I haven't tried to attach pics yet.
There again I'm an old F@rt who was used to a perfectly functioning site" FOR MY OWN NEEDS."
All I want is to post a report with pics and a few smileys.
Maybe it's time to let the young guns go for it and just watch and learn for a while. ?

Uncle H, i think the smileys are working better now than when you tried the ast time,i also couldnt a while back. just reply, click on advanced and click on the smiley face

As mentioned by Andre, see if this works and let me know. I have increased the font size in posts and will increase font sizes on the forum home as well.
Dizzy and jockO, I should have a reply from VB soon.
What else would you guys like to see re functionality and styling?

Here is the reply from V Bulletin- don't you get this window when entering wrong details? Let me know if this helps.
"What is the exact problem with logging in? Normally, if you try to login and you enter the wrong username and/or password, you get told you have used up X out of 5 tries and you are given a screen to try again. You are also given a message with a link to reset your password. Are you not getting that? If so, what exactly is happening when you try to login?"
