Hello Guys
Doing the drift at Elgro this Sunday for what ever wants to bite. Any news on the fishing or tips that might be handy ?

".....angling is a sport that requires as much enthusiasm as poetry, as much patience as mathematics and as much caution as housbreaking". - James Rennie 1883
Howzit Reveck.
I suspect the flow will be very low on sun around the 12m3/s, which i find elgro to be a bit tougher with the very low flows, but that is just me. When you drifting down look for the rocky steep banks you will find plenty structure in the water in the area, especially the submerged ledges. Spend a bit of time in these spots. If you can find a bit of depth in and around even better. Don’t be scared to have a couple of casts in the middle of the river opposed to just concentrating on the banks. I would start off with a small dark msp pattern, but again that is just me. I understand the smallies have become rather spooky when feeding on the surface. So if you do find pods approach very slowly and quietly.
Good luck and Enjoy man
Reveck, with flows of below 20 tons, just pray that the wind is dead still.
IF IT BLOWS PRAY IT'S DOWNSTREAM.
If the wind is any way upstream you are in for more paddling than fishing.
ELGRO is a long "drift".
Good luck
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.
