Never had to do it before, but have patched a few flat tyres and it should be based on the same principle. Find the hole by inflating the tube and with soapy water locate the hole and mark it with chalk. Then with sand paper, sand lightly over the hole area and apply the glue to the repair patch and the area where the hole is. Wait 30 seconds for the glue to dry a bit and the stick patch over the hole, pressing all over the area, making sure the 2 surfaces binds. Leave for about 10- 15 minutes, inflate tube and check with soapy water if you were successful. Go Fish!!!!!

correct. I got a small hole in my tube and fixed it in that manner. The most important part is to let the glue dry out. You can even wait longer than a min if you want. What I did was to also put some glue on the patch itself, also let that dry and then place it in the dried glue on the tube. It also helps to have something with a round edge to rub over the patch to make sure that all the air is removed under the new patch. Air will only cause the glue to oxidize and become hard, you don't really want that.

But yes, using the soap and a marker is important since you can easily patch the wrong spot if the hole is small.

If it's a tiny hole, say from a hook, the Loon UV boat repair goo is very effective.
It's something float tubers should have in one of the boat pockets all the time.
UV knot sense will work in a pinch.

Okay after all that, I think that a "Repair" section is a good idea!?! We can get ideas to repair, tackle, tools, gear, etc.

Is the Loon UV boat repair a permanent solution?
