I have just returned from two weeks in Zambia near a place called Kabwe. I was leading a team of environmental specialists who were conducting studies on the impacts of a proposed hydro power dam upgrade in the Muchinga mountains.
I am not one to miss an opportunity to take my 2/3 rod into the great unknown on the chance that I might find some good water. Boy am I glad I took it on this trip!
I spent several days deep in the heart of the Katobo Gorge flicking a little bead headed nymph at the feet of small waterfalls and into deep pools.
And I was lucky enough to catch my very first yellow fish! I went to Zambia worried about malaria and I returned feeling the severe effects of a serious case of yellow fever.
Please enjoy some of the pics I took during my "work" breaks.
