I think you might have hit the nail on the head Gary, saying that the 10ft 3wt is a better all round choice. The lighter the rod you choose, the more specialised it becomes, and therfore the less of an all rounder. I agree, but my thread is specifically about the 2wt, as dry fly rod. If I wanted anything resembling an all round rod, then the 2wt certainly wouldnt be the rod I would go for. The 2wt is more specialised and more defined in what it does best. my opinion for a dedicated dry fly 2wt for the Cape streams, would certainly not be a 10 foot rod for a start. Also heard good things about the Zenith, hope to try one someday.

A 10ft 3wt ONE is a better all-round choice, but then my Zenith 10ft 3wt is even better.
