One of the two lake sectors,Lake Stortvatnet (lots of "vatnets" in Norway) Look at the dimple rises infront of the rocky outcrop. Seems like we will mainly be targeting Browns and some Arctic Char in the Lakes, crystal clear mountain water. The one Lake we will be fishing from the shore and the other from drift boats.

    Hi Phillip.
Although I have been a "lurker" for quite some time on Fly-Talk, this is my first official post and although it may seem opportunistic to do so in a raffle, I honestly wish you guys well and am pleased to support you. I have also supported some of the other guys with their fund-raising initiatives for the worlds.
Further to this I must say that the members of the team that We have met over the last few years are always willing to assist their fellow fly-fishermen especially our Juniors. That said I am also sure that some of the teams guidance did help the SA Juniors achieve the result they did last week in some way.
May I please purchase ticket no 55 for myself (Ken Quick) and no 77 for my son (Josh Quick), thanks I will deposit the money today.
All of the best and we will be following your progress with keen interest and cheering you along as proud SA fly-fishermen.
    KenQ.

When we fished Norway, we fished a couple of the "vatnets".
    Catching many browns.
the one fly that have produced consistently was a dark orange woolly bugger,
We could not really work out why, maybe the visibility, or the movement etc.
So make sure you have a dark orange(burnt orange) as a back-up, last resort.

Enjoy, catch lots of fish, and keep us updated, on the whole comp.

    Thank you Richard,

Will update it on my return, typing on Oslo airport, flew via Amsterdam and will take the train tonight at 23:40. Arrive tomorrow 13:00 in Mosjoen. Rather tired, still light outside, very strange, almost as much light as 17:00 in the Cape.

    Cheers

The weather station for the Worldchampionship area.
being close to the Arctic circle, the weather can change quickly.
