With the boys, hard at practice, and the competition starting shortly, a thread to get more info about the competition, and a daily report about the competition.

The one river they practiced on, was in terms of insect life, like a swamp. Insects, goggas, gamarus, nymphs, midges etc everywhere. Like a big hatch the whole day long.

From the feedback I received, is that all the boys had good results in the training sessions.
Today was the Official practice, tomorrow the competition starts, so keep a lookout from later tomorrow afternoon for the first results.
Up to now, very hot for Ireland and the rivers are low, but from tomorrow, they are predicting cooler weather and a bit of rain. Which should be very good for the fishing.

I had some feedback of today's session
at least 2 session wins, 1 not so good, and waiting for the other 2 anglers.

I'm giving up trying to understand the score-sheets. In session 3 Aritz Pradas from Spain had a session win on Macrory. Eliska Markova had a sixth. Yet on the individual results sheet the scores for these two are reversed. Is this treachery or did the Spaniard gallantly surrender his scorecard to the lady? Either way, the South African lads seem to be doing a great job!

You basically add the placing in every session together.
    For her, as an example.
    SO if you had session 1 a 1st place, session 2 a 3rd place and session 3 a 6th, your total placings are 10.
    For him, an example
    1st session 5th, session 2 a 6th and session 3 a 1st, total placings 12.

It is probably that she had better placings in session 1 and 2, than the spaniard.

    To keep informed

    http://www.wyffc.com/index.html

See "RESULTS" TAB. NOTE only 3 sessions have been fished so far, thus SESSION 4, 5 & OVERALL RESULTS are blank.
