haha...good one!
Interesting enough I also struggle more with the forward haul, much more difficult to get the timing right compared to the back haul.. result is that I normally just haul on the backwards cast.. It must be noted however that I am self tought below average caster..
Also what is this backing that you are all talking of??

I think its far more beneficial to be able to lift a lot of line off the water and shoot a long line out fast and accurate than it is to cast a full line. For some casting far is 10 hauls and then release.Thats way too much time in the air and not in the water.Just learn to haul properly and getting to where the fish are as quickly and effeciantly as possible
but ive always wanted to brag about casting a full line!
Or just cut off the last couple of meters that you cannot cast out.
Probably the easiest option to see your backing everytime.

im positive i could cast into my backing...if only i had that loomis NRX!
Distance casting is skill, art and discipline per se.
There is no simple answer over internet how to get from 80ft to +100ft .
In person, it is much easier.
So, if you are in Joburg or coming here occasionally , I can teach you how to cast over 100ft in a very short period of time .
Good Luck .
