    Default Looking for a Daiwa

    Good day all.

I am looking for a Daiwa Osprey fly rod, either 4/5, 5/6, or even the 6/7. First choice would be the 5/6 tho. Here's hoping someone out there has one collecting dust in their garage and keen for it to get back out there and do some fishing!

    Thanks,

    Matt.

Hahahahahahaha. Ya please look for something else. Please...
An honest fisherman is a pretty uninteresting person.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and not only is he hungry but broke for the rest of his life as well.

Matyx, I understand your quest. I had the 6/7 from way back and recently offloaded it practically for free. Since then I have major regrets. Even though 2 piece and crumby fittings - I still had a soft spot for it and a TON of fond memories. I caught a lot of fish on it

My pops gave me his Osprey about 15 yrs ago, before then I only had Orvis rods (from my dad) and the meaning of the Osprey to me far outweighed anything else. Hard to find a better carbon rod than an Osprey IMHO, but again, personal preferences rule hey. They turn up now and then, great restoration projects if you have the time.

I also used to love my Osprey. It is a classic and I have very fond memories of mine. Sadly it got lost somewhere in my move to and from the UK.
