Had a look at the Wade reels at the trade show this weekend.
They look great.
Have a good finish and are triple anodized, they are also light and have a good large arbour for matching rod.
The recommended retail for SL 6 is R5395, so if the corresponding price of the 9wt Wade reel is R4900, it will be cheaper.

No shop that I know of sells the SL 6 for that recommended price.

I get that certain retailers get better deals as they buy in bulk so that may be a factor. Agree, lets wait and see what prices actually come in at but I guess the point was that the Shilton have built there reputation over the last few years so any new kids on the block coming in at higher prices will have to have that little extra that sets them apart.
