Sterkfontein Dam Safety

Hi guys going to be at sterkfontein for a couple of days at begining of December and will be staying at the nature reserves chalets.
Was wondering how safe the area is as I will be taking my wife with. Is it fine to leave her alone during the day while I go fishing?
Wont have a boat so anybody know how the fishing is around the chalets?Dont mind hiking a bit to get a fish either.

She will be fine on her own,bar nothing much to do.
The fishing around there is ok if you walk,and walk and walk.Basically find the fish.
Enjoy.Hope you dont get stampeded by all the anglers that time of year

She wil be fine, just make sure she takes a lot to occupy her time, with the distances you will be walking you will want to have the whole day available to yourself...

Haha its only been 10 months. Just finished the tutorial on washing the dishes so will be next on the list.

No problem with safety.
Just watch out for the bad storms that comes across the dam this time of the year.
2nd most dangerous dam in South Africa.

Will be there between xmas and New Year. Staying in a chalet at the parks board.
