Fishing dries at Eendekuil can be very productive at times but you've got to know what you're doing. If I've gotten to a spot first and I'm casting small klinkies or mays and having a good time there's nothing unreasonable about it. You don't like it and think it's unreasonable? Unlucky for you... Happy to show you what I'm doing if you're courteous and genuinely interested, happy to give you a couple of flies if they're working and share my spot with you to.

I don't. And I also cast fairly long lines sometimes, less often on a river, but it happens.
