You can get 10ft Blanks - Just ordering the kit and blank through mudhole - Its easy, and comes with all the parts you need. I would listen to Mario about the MHX blanks, he knows what he is talking about!

Easiest is just to order it, take like 5 minutes and will be here in a few weeks. I would pay more for tracked postage too if I was you.

Once you have ordered your kit, start building a wrapper and a dryer and start practising your wraps and epoxying.

    Hi Jade,
I’ll definitely use the link, thank you so much.
Money aside. Considering value for money and blank performance. If you guys had the choice between a MHX ($140) and a TFO BVK($187) kit, which would you choose? All 5 wt 9'.

Would Mudhole sell sections if a section broke?

I am not sure which to choose, Mario would be able to help. TFO will allow you to send in the broken section and replace it at a cost (which is not high)

There are a number of the rods around. Try and find someone who has a rod, borrow it for a day and cast it.
Get someone else, who is an experienced fly fisher to cast with you, get his opinion, let him point out his likes and dislikes of the specific rod.
you might end up understanding diffirent aspects of the rod, that you did not notice at first.
Never buy a rod, purely on recommendation, that you have not cast for at least an hour.

    Sorry, life happened ....

I'd go with the BVK over the MHX just because it's a better looking blank. There is nothing wrong with the MHX stuff, they are really solid blanks. I have had a MHX section replaced (which ended up pricey ito shipping), so there is no issue there.
