Breede River Report Back Nov. 2016
Just want to extend a thank you to all who were involved and joined our recent Breede trip. The fishing hasn't been easy, with very strong South Westerly's blowing for most part of the trip. The water temp. was in the region of 19 - 21 degrees and the river became clearer towards the end of the trip on Sunday. In the end around 25 Leeries were landed, one cob and one elf/shad, and numerous evil eyed puffers......
The fishing was better on the Friday, compared to Saturday. The barometer dropped from Friday to Saturday. We had several grunter hits with one fish being broken off. Have seen some cob landed on bait, including one 43kg fish, several from 3-10kg, mainly upriver from the "Goudmyn" to the Power cables.
With the wind not subsiding much during Saturday evening we opted to go and have a look at Stilbaai, about one hour's drive, where some Leeries were landed.
As always the Breede was special! Unfortunately we don't have pics of all the guys who had landed fish, but here are some taken by the guys , I hope to post some more soon.
