Default Water affairs at it again?

Hi all, does anyone know why water affairs continues to import water from Lesotho to Gauteng?
The outflow from Katse dam remains at 38 cubes/second, yet the Vaal dam is >100% full and Katse is at only 65%.
Emptying a deep, cold high-altitude reservoir to fill an already-overflowing warm, shallow reservoir is the kind of logic that has exacerbated SA's struggle with water issues over the last few years.

we need a good flow during July/August in the Richtersveld for the LM fishing. That is why they are doing it.
There is probably a minimum clause of water sales/flow in operation with regards to the supply of water.

I got it down to 50 seconds a shower. Just think on how much water you are wasting. 2 years from now you will regret it.

On my recent trip to Argentina the Parana River was flowing at 60 000 cumecs (SIXTY THOUSAND) and I felt guilty about a 4 minute shower on the banks of the river.
It is amazing how you get conditioned to save water.
