Default Yellows on vaal after first rains

Hi anyone with any experience or info on fishing vaal after the first rains. Does the fishing go better or maybe go worse?

    Just a thought

Generally better. It depends on the flow rates afterwards. If the rains are heavy and the flow goes up a lot then that can obviously prevent you fishing for a few days. Normally the first rains bring in some fresh water (depending where the water sources are) and can give the river a bit of a flush. Either way I prefer fishing after the first rains if possible.

Makes sense. I was at parys side about 2 weeks back and over the weekend i found the water level did rise and also there was a lot of grass coming down making it difficult to fish but the fish where still active. I wonder if anyone also experienced that on the vaal and is it better now.
