Its a good spot and time of year for some dry fly action. If it were me, i would start nymphing the slightly deeper glides to the left of where you park around lunch time, keeping an eye out for surface activity as the afternoon progresses. If you see insects coming off and fish rising (normally after 15h00) switch to dry and dropper rig and cast a rises.
The surface action is often if slightly deeper water, in which case an inflatable of some sort is useful, but April there will still be fish rising in wadeable water.
