    Question BARRAGE release?

Heard a rumour from the shops yesterday of additional release (60cms) at the Barrage. Can anyone confirm? Still awaiting feedback from Randwater.

Carl, according to the Daily barrage flow sheet there has been no increase in the flows since Monday. Flows have been constant around 14-15cumecs.
Unless of course the data is incorrect, which would not suprise me at all

No this is planned for the weekend. I have checked for any canoe races - none. It may be related to maintenance of the jettys and river front properties.

Well I'm going fishing on Saturday. Guess I'll have to take a harness and chains with to keep me standing in the current.....

Please let us know if any of you know when the gates will be opened.

Just phoned Quinten at the barrage. He has NO knowledge of any planned increase in the flows. His information is usually quite reliable, but you never know what his Hierarchy may spring on him at short notice.

The best day to go fishing is any day that ends in a "y"
