    Default Irreplaceable fishing equipment

What item that you use for your fishing would you be most upset about losing?

I recently thought that I had lost my dry fly box and at one stage thought I was going to be ill from worry since the whole house had been turned upside down with no sign of the fly box. Luckily i traced my steps and realised that Kev might have had it after a recent trip we took together, and after a quick sms to confirm that he had it, the worry was over and i could put the razors away.

I think this is fitting after all the talk recently about top brand rods and reels, and i think that if most people that have put a lot of time and effort into building up a good collection of flies that they are confident to fish with would agree that losing a full fly box would be much more disastrous than losing a sage rod or abel reel, regardless of the price of the box and the monetary value of the flies held within it.

The time and effort we put into filling our fly boxes is relatively irreplaceable compared to our other tackle whether it be made by Daiwa or Sage.

What do you guys reckon? Anyone else got something they would hate to lose above all else?

    Cheers

Life and good friends are irreplaceable.

Sage rods and intricately tied flies are.

Hence the carefully placed "relatively" in front of "irreplaceable".

I honestly can't think of anything.

    Tackle : Can be replaced.
Fly boxes AND contents : Can be replaced.
Vests, Nippers, Files, Barometers, Thermometers : Can be replaced.

I actually think losing a fly box can be fun, imagine having a GOOD reason to retie and improve your selection.

No way ... lost the fly box thing and it is no fun replacing ! Especially when you did upgrade the flies.....

My option would be dropping those car keys and not taking your cellphone that day !

    Irriplacable

    The environment, Family, and friends

    Everything else can be replaced
